Issue 84
Hi folks
Included in this Issue, two new field types for duplicating items and pages in Perch. Great work by Nils Mielke.
Also, a forum post about importing members into the Members add-on. Checking your data for missing values is the key point here.
And, a couple of nice site examples and a different tool for running local sites.
See you next time.
Add-Ons
Feuerwasser CloneItem
A field type to duplicate an item in a multi-item region.
Feuerwasser ClonePage
A field type to duplicate a page and its contents. I've been testing this one - it works very nicely.

Importing Members
It's possible to import Members directly into the database. But, check that your data in the memberProperties
column is complete. Blank values can give an error message when sorting columns in Perch.
Run and test any such imports on your testing server first!
Site Examples
Epic Lawn Pro
I like the trapezoidal images on the home page. This effect uses clip-path in the CSS. Nice work.
Loffice
A great design on this site and it was an an Awwwards nominee too. The site is available in Hungarian and English.

Running a local server with LocalWP
As an alternative to MAMP or other local development environments, you might like to consider LocalWP which is a WordPress development tool that you can download and run on your machine. Huh? WordPress development?! How does that work?
Well, creating a local site with LocalWP is just a few clicks and it will install WordPress. However, it's easy to delete the WordPress files and amend the database to run non-WP sites.
It's possible to keep MAMP and try LocalWP on the same machine. I've tried LocalWP and it's a smooth experience.
Good tip from Wayne Hooper.
